Week #3 Marathon Training- A Bust :(

Disappointment         Aggravated              Irritated

I am so frustrated with myself this week and those three words above is how I have felt ALL week long! Why? I don't really know but it has pretty much started with work. I have just felt so aggravated at work this week and not really sure why nothing is different or changed I guess it has just been one of those weeks!
Anyway the training schedule should have went like this
                                       4,4,4,7
Here is how my schedule went
Wednesday- 4mi/39:41
Saturday - 7mi/1:12:56

Yep, that's it only 2 runs last week:( WHY??? Not really sure. I just couldn't make myself go the the gym or get outside myself last week. Sheri on the other hand is awesome, she completed every run even though she had terrible sinus headaches~GOOD JOB SHERI!!! All I can be thankful for is the fact that it is only week 3 and its still early. Starting this week forward I can NOT and (hopefully) will NOT let this happen again!!

THIS WEEK IS GOING TO BE BETTER! HOW DO YOU FEEL IF YOU MISS OR SKIP OUT ON TRAINING RUNS? HOW DO YOU BOUNCE BACK AND GET BACK IN THE GROOVE AND NOT GET DOWN AND OUT ABOUT IT? DO YOU TRY TO MAKE UP THE RUNS OR JUST LOOK FOR BETTER OUTCOMES THE NEXT WEEK?

Try not to beat yourself up. I do the same thing though, it's hard not too. You'll get back on track!

Don't beat yourself up. It's done and overwith, so focus on the coming week. You WILL do better!

Yes, everyone is right. Move past what you didn't do, and get better as you move forward. Down days will happen.

Sorry you had a bum week. They come and they go. Best you can do is move on :)

Don't worry about it!! Let it go and gear up for the next week. I struggle when I miss runs, but then it just mentally takes me out of the game when I stew about it!

My family is much happier when I am flexible and cut myself some slack.

YOU CAN DO IT!

Don't worry too much. Your body has a funny way of telling you when you need a little extra rest. This week will be better, and missing a couple of runs in week 3 is not going to change how you feel during your marathon. Good luck with your training!

Never try to make up runs...Here is an article we wrote this week that gives you a little motivation when you need it... http://marathon-trainingschedule.com/marathon-library/37-library/205-get-your-friends-to-motivate-you

Just make this weeks goal, complete as prescribed. Cheers, Scott
